The employees are awesome, but a some of the enclosures were too small for the size of the animals. I swear I'm not trying to be a Karen lol but it's true.

This park is actually located in Toms River, not on Cattus Island. But you can see the Cattus Island across the water from it. There is no trail from this park for you to cross the Barnegat Bay and reach the Cattus Island. But I really enjoyed the easy scenic walks on the trails. At the end of the main trail, you will reach a beach and see Cattus Island from there. In this park there is a butterfly garden and an educational center. Kids will have a great time seeing the bees working inside a beehive.

Fun experience today with the family at the park. Went for a walk on the dock while the kids rode their bikes. Playground is so updated and fun.

So pretty here, any time of year. Great place to walk dogs on packed sand and gravel and woodsy trails.

Lovely park, very clean, dog friendly, nice wide trail which is well maintained. Easy walk to the water with tons of wildlife. Blue herons, egrets, chipmunks, plus an obviously haunted tree and mushrooms as big as a dinner plate. π
